A Genovese hunting lodge, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, rests on a hillcrest above Porto Maurizio – a building from „the emperor’s period“, in Italy firmly connected to the name Vittorio Emanuele II/III.
On a hill slope below, mutually shielded from view, a further house was built in 2000, called the “red house” because of its colouring.
A renowned local builder has made good use of this landscape’s structural conditions and, at the same time, succeeded in creating modern living space. The result is a well thought-through „architect’s house“ with a view onto Porto Maurizio and the sea, as well as onto the wide valley of the river Prino.
The house is divided into two levels:
In the upper storey, a spacious living area with kitchen, balcony and terrace; access to a garden pool (child security).
An internal spiral staircase leads, as does the garden terrace entrance, to three bedrooms with adjoining rooms and kitchenette, two bathrooms. Two double rooms, one of them with a French bed, one single room;
there is room for one extra baby (own arrangements must be made).
Distance to Porto Maurizio (coast) is 6 kilometres; there, or in Dolcedo (about the same distance) all necessary infrastructure can be found.
Satellite TV, wifi, washing machine, central heating. Open chimney for the transitional period between seasons. Parking space in front of the property (effectively "private" at the end of a cul-de-sac).
Dogs not allowed, linen rental possible (10,- €/person/changeover).
