> A' Ca' daa Colua >
Colua means the hill shoulder behind the house (where in the winter, an open air manger is set up next to the house, the climb upwards begins).
"A' Ca' dàa Còlua" maybe translated into "the house on the hillslope".
The situation has changed since the name was assigned to the house: what today is the "main street", the main "path" of this village / town, was formerly the deep-cut valley of a small river, the torrente Groppo. Its strength could on occasion even drive a mill.
The wheel of the mill has survived the covering of the river by the current road, and has been transformed into a small historical ensemble.
Right and left, where the terrain has allowed construction, are the characteristically narrow, multi-leveled houses, the "torri genovesi".
In one of them, on the first floor, lies the apartment described below.
It consists of a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom, as well as a bedroom with double bed. The closed window in the bedroom was formerly used to provide light for an adjacent room.
The living room contains a pull-out couch, which sleeps two children. The apartment is complemented by a balcony; the owners live in the house above.
The house is located about 100 meters above the pedestrian tunnel to the railway station, in the direction of the vast church of San Lorenzo. Distance to the sea is 5 minutes.
Still a little further up the hill is the end of the road (with limited parking).
Washing machine, autonomous central heating, cable TV, no pets.
