Janot used to be called Giacomo; but after 25 years of working life in France, the new French name has remained with him even after his return to his native country.
All of his life savings have gone into the old house on range of hills at Lingueglietta; on one of its sides, an abandoned hill path, on the other, an unlimited view of valley and ocean.
He lives in the upper apartment, while down below, the space that had originally been used for agricultural purposes has been transformed into a holiday apartment.
Enjoying a quiet repose, friendly and now a bit hard of hearing, Janot often enough sits on his balcony and looks over the valley of his youth.
The apartment:
A few steps lead down past a bedroom with double bed to a small lounge with window looking out on the terrace, a kitchen with all necessary utensils, a further bedroom with two single beds, and a small bathroom.
The kitchen allows direct access to the large terrace (ca. 20 square metres), set high above the open landscape and the sea by San Lorenzo.
In exceptions, a fifth person (child) can sleep in the lounge.
Satellite TV and washing machine; public parking at a distance of 100 metres.
A grocery store is located just a few steps away from the house.
