In a breathtaking location, directly amidst the famous vineyard terraces, this holiday cottage stands in an absolutely exclusive location high above the sea of the Cinque Terre. On a clear day, the view reaches as far as Elba and Corsica.
(The wineyards, however, were replaced by olive trees in 2009.)
The house is located in the Cinque Terre National Park. An permit to access it by car can be obtained at the time of booking. The car is left on the hiking trail connecting Riomaggiore and Portovenere, at a few minutes' distance from the house. From there, the house can be reached via an easily manageable, but rather narrow and steep walk (7 minutes).
It is a 10 to 15-minute walk from the house to the Sanctuary of Montenero, where you will find a very reasonable restaurant and bar (as well as the rustici of the Ca de Cian). Down to the coast of Riomaggiore, it is a 45 minute hike; to go back up, you can take a bus which runs until near Montenero.
The road, the last part of which is not paved, leads by Biassa; from there, it is only a few minutes by car to La Spezia.
The apartment is situated on two levels connected by a spiral staircase; on the lower level, a living room with fireplace, and a kitchen opening to the terrace; upstairs, a bedroom with double bed, one with bunk beds, bathroom. On the terrace, barbecue and wood stove.
Pets accepted.
Heating using fireplaces and portable heaters.
Not very suitable for infants and small children.
